Patia Prouty is a director with a sharp eye for elevated genre, visceral performance, and emotionally charged visuals.

A Warner Bros. Directors Workshop alum, Patia is known for her deft touch with actors, command of visual storytelling, and ability to execute complex, high-stakes scenes with precision which led to her success directing shows like Arrow for CW.

An award-nominated costume designer, Patia built her storytelling foundation through visual world-building on acclaimed series including Cold Case, Justified, American Crime, Banshee, and Quarry. Her transition into directing was sparked by the story-driven social content she created for Banshee—a move that led to her directorial debut on Banshee: Origins, which earned two Emmy nominations for multi-platform storytelling.

She helmed second unit and action for Banshee, Quarry, and Manhunt: Unabomber, where her inventive macro bomb sequences helped define the show’s signature aesthetic.

Her original sci-fi pilot Stream of Consciousness won the Page International Screenwriting Award and was a finalist at the Austin Film Festival and the Josephson Entertainment Fellowship.

Patia brings a multidisciplinary perspective—and a deep respect for character and theme—to every story she tells.
